Maggie, a junk-food-binging shoplifter, Paul, a sincere recovering overeater, Flacco, a wannabe Puerto Rican criminal and Boochie, a hooker, find themselves facing execution by mobster Sal and his youthful boss, Lou “Little Tuna” Pescatore after their scheme to rob a local nightclub goes awry.

"Grow a garden." The idea hits Paul like a meteor hitting the planet and he’s off. He reads the books, sows the seeds, and before his first tomatoes ripen, departs on a crusade to save the planet one precious seedling at a time. Saving himself, however, may prove the harder battle.
