Sunny & Finn are a rowdy queer couple living in a broken-down van in Venice Beach. When a nearby murder causes the city to issue a 48-hour sweep of their encampment, Sunny and Finn must rely on their wits and community to fix the van or lose everything they own.

The protagonist, a young Russian, sees his life shattered by Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Desperate to flee repression, he plans to leave but learns his mother, living in a war zone, suffers a heart attack. He stays to support her, enduring bombings, and try to find forgiveness amidst chaos.
