A new rock musical based on the true story of a teenage girl who rose to become the top pimp and gangster of the Tenderloin District of San Francisco in the 1960s.

Desert Weeds is a dark comedy about four friends who wake up trapped, buried up to their necks, in a harsh desert. They struggle to survive and solve the mystery of how they got there all while keeping their fragile alliance intact as old wounds are opened and long simmering resentments resurface.

A follow up to the smash hit Scarlett Fever at HFF19. Creator John Wuchte explores the lives of 7 characters through gesture, dance, song, text, aprons and heels. A whimsical, quirky, physical-musical with kinetic choreography accompanied by live percussion, 7 original songs and a talking shirt.
