The Hollywood Fringe Festival is accepting applications for Fringe Mentors to support its Fringe Scholarships program.Created in 2016, the Fringe Scholarship Program exists to expand and diversify the pool of artists producing work at the Hollywood Fringe Festival. Fringe Scholarships are awarded to first-time Hollywood Fringe producers who identify as one or more of the following identities: BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color), disabled, d/Deaf, and/or blind.
As a Fringe Mentor, you will be paired with a scholarship recipient and will exist as their go-to Fringe friend & confidant to help them navigate the Hollywood Fringe Festival and that's where we need your help!
As a mentor your time commitment will look like:
-----> You must have completed at least one Hollywood Fringe Festival within the past 3 years.
-----> One formal onboarding meeting (30 minutes) with HFF (available times: Friday, February 28th, 10am - 8pm) to go over your requirements. If that day does not work for you, please email [email protected] to schedule a separate time.
---> One formal onboarding meeting (60 minutes) with your mentee to help them get started in booking a venue space, budgeting, and more! This meeting should take place March 10th - 30th (or sooner). We will connect mentors + artists in the first two weeks of March
----> Bi-weekly check-ins with your mentee starting March 17th. This can be a text, email or instagram "hey" and does not have to be formal.
----> Attend at least 2-3 Hollywood Fringe events with your mentee from March to June. Buddy systems make everything better- this can be a couple office hours, workshops/panels, and, of course, opening night!
----> Attend your mentee's production during the festival!
