ANNOUNCING: Closing Show for The WORLD PREMIERE of SALON NOIR, a one-act comedic celebration of radical Black joy at the 2025 Hollywood Fringe Festival!
Hollywood, CA –JUNE 25, 2025 –
Opening to a successful first and second showing, Salon Noir will hit the stage one last time for a final show this Sunday at the Stephanie Feury Studio Theater (Larchmont District) at 9:30 p.m.
Salon Noir is a one-act comedic revue and celebration of radical Black joy. Salon Noir chronicles the artist journeys of two high-school musical standouts through comedic characters, stand-alone sketches, poetry, and live audience conversation.
Long time comedienne comrades Asia Martin and Angela Oliver showcase impeccable comedic timing in their audience engaging one-act revue. True to its namesake, Salon Noir, delivers as a show centering radical Black joy a la Dark Tower Salons of the Harlem Renaissance. Audience goers can expect to see a salon-style comedic sketch revue infused with poetry and musical comedy. Drawing inspiration from The Wiz, In Living Color and The Color Purple, Oliver and Martin deliver sketches, lyrical vignettes, and livingroom style asides that invite audiences to be active participants in setting the stage for radical joy.
