Actors Company LET LIVE THEATER presents the World Premiere of hip hop Bollywood musical Dirty Chai on Saturday, August 21.

Created by and starring Ruchi Kishore, Dirty Chai challenges the walls of formality, fear, and judgement while showcasing the sometimes messy concoction of two very different cultures, conflicting identities and the chaos of falling in love.

Acclaimed Filmmaker & New York Stage Director Adam Marcus (Jason Goes to Hell, Texas Chainsaw) is set to direct this colorful dramedy, which will feature music courtesy of Facebook Music Initiative from Artist Dhruv Goel (Disney Junior’s Mira, Royal Detective; Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi; The Fourth Wall, La La Land).

Before the start of an arranged marriage set by her traditional interracial parents, Chaya Chandrika Gopi a.k.a. “Chai,” a rebellious Indian-American bride-to-be, falls for a fearless American girl, Ronnie, who is off limits for more than one reason.

The World Premiere on August 21 will be followed by two additional live shows on Sunday, August 22 and Friday, August 27; as well as a virtual performance live-streamed from Actors Company and produced by Julien Elstob of Electric Workshop.

The 18+ live production exudes excitement and sarcasm and features a diverse and talented cast including: Debra Sullivan, Asit Vyas, Raquel Woodruff, and Roshan Mathews, to name a few.
