PRESS RELEASE – For Immediate Release

Hollywood, CA – Stevie Mack’s Diary of a Crackhead hits the Hollywood Fringe Festival

May 2021

Stevie Mack’s Diary of a Crackhead is a poignant and very funny one-man play about addiction and recovery. How can one rise from the ashes of a family riddled with crime, pimps, pushers, drug/alcohol addiction, gangster ethics, prison life and mental institutions? This story is about overcoming adversity against all odds….through laughter.

LA WEEKLY selected Diary of a Crackhead as thee must see performance! They honored it with their coveted  “Pick of the Week” spot in their industry heavy paper and they published a full Q&A article on Writer/Performer Stevie Mack.

“Stevie Mack takes you on a journey through his unorthodox and troubled past. Stevie tells the story of the ups and downs of his life, and how his childhood all played a role in setting the tone for decisions he made into adulthood. It’s no wonder this was LA Weekly’s Pick of the Week. You will laugh, you will cry, you will go on an emotional rollercoaster. In the end, you will come out having the utmost respect for this dude, and all of the trials he went through.”

About Stevie Mack:

Stevie Mack could easily be deemed one of the hardest working actors in show business; 15 movies, 17 TV shows, 10 music videos, 12 industrials, a ton of independent content for streaming and as of this writing, 54 commercials. That’s a lot of face time by anyone’s standards.

For most actors in Hollywood, booking a commercial is a huge feather in their cap and the highlight of their career. Okay, it’s a bright spot at least. For Stevie Mack it’s just another day at the office…or is it?

Stevie Mack voted by People magazine as a top dancer in the Oscar nominated Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, “Can’t Stop the Feeling” music video by Justin Timberlake, which also won a Golden Globe, Grammy and Critics’ Choice Award.

Stevie Mack can also be seen in recent movies Ghostmates, Expelled, Pup Star, American Bad Boy, and the Emmy winning TV show Shameless on Showtime.

Multi-faceted and multi-talented, Stevie Mack has been performing stand up comedy, and one-man shows since the 90’s and he’s been seen in over 53 commercials pitching everything from soft drinks to real estate.
