2 FOR 1 is a hilariously dark and unique one woman show debuting in the 2019 Hollywood Fringe Festival. The show offers a deal that’s hard to resist – two one woman shows back to back in just one hour. Two for the price of one! Comedians and writers Angela Beevers and Alyssa Virker met while working on HBO’s Silicon Valley and Barry. Now each bring their talents together for a night of two wildly funny and different one woman shows. Both shows weave in their background as former assistants in Hollywood to tell deeply honest and personal narratives. Virker creates a fantasy world in which she tries on iconic female characters and finds that her overlord, a male narrator, may not have her best interests at hand. Beevers’ piece is an intensely personal and over-the-top stand-up show about her mother: a bellydancer, psychic, and fiddler, who is also a ghost, because she is dead.
