DISASTEROID! CRASHES THE HOLLYWOOD FRINGE AFTER A LATE-NIGHT RUN AT SACRED FOOLS THEATER
Disasteroid!
After a critically-lauded late-night run at Sacred Fools Theater Company in April, the original musical, DISASTEROID!, returns for a seven-show run at The Broadwater Black Box Theater as part of the 2018 Hollywood Fringe Festival. Written by Zachary Bernstein and directed by Guy Picot, this pre-apocalyptic romantic comedy explores matters large and small, from living life to the fullest to which kind of milk goes best with your waffles.
ABOUT Disasteroid!
Sometimes the end of the world isn’t the end of the world. Mabel’s a philanthropist trapped in a loveless marriage; Arthur’s an amateur astronomer trapped in a tax office. But he has a secret: the earth is shortly going to be destroyed by an asteroid. So what the heck, let’s fall in love and grab life by the throat while we still can. Will these two find meaning in their lives just as they are to be cut short? But what if he’s wrong and the planet keeps spinning? That really would be the end of the world.
Performances will take place at the Broadwater Black Box Theater (located at 6322 Santa Monica Blvd. LA, CA 90038). The show is mostly family-friendly (ages 10+) and runs 70 minutes. Admission is $10. Tickets are available for purchase here starting May 1st: http://hff18.org/5289
