HOLLYWOOD, April 15 — Actaeon Players will world-premiere a fantasy drama about Vincent van Gogh at the 2016 Hollywood Fringe Festival in June.

VINCENT Deconstructed” follows the painter from his cell in a French insane asylum as he undertakes a mystical quest — the most important adventure of his life. In an Italian seaport, a group of spiritually thirsty dockworkers and the one woman Vincent ever truly loved confront him with the tangled threads of his destiny.

VINCENT Deconstructed” was commissioned by Actaeon from playwright and acclaimed director Elissa Anne Polansky, a lifelong lover and student of van Gogh. Told in a “magical realist” style, the play features several of the artist’s best-loved works and excerpts from his private letters.

VINCENT Deconstructed” will be performed in the newly renovated Black Box (formerly the Elephant) at the Sacred Fools Theatre, 6322 Santa Monica Blvd., Hollywood 90038.
