Jake Cassman

In just 28 years, Jake Cassman has been halfway around the world and back, and worked in just about every corner of the music business. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Jake spent his childhood enthusiastically exploring interests as diverse as athletics and international politics and everything in between. This same sense of curiosity led him to boarding school in Leysin, Switzerland. Here, among a dozen other activities and programs, Jake found his true calling — writing, performing, and working in music.

After graduating with an IB diploma and attending the University of Pennsylvania for two years, Jake transferred to Berklee College of Music to pursue his passion full-time. He has hosted radio programs; written for music publications; taught classes on performance and songwriting; booked and managed concerts; written a musical; and performed in countless shows, from weddings to dueling pianos to improv comedy. His band, Drunken Logic, has toured multiple times, released two albums and has a third on the way. Their music video for their song “This Side or the Other” won Best Music Video at the 2016 Southeast New England Film Festival, and their most recent award-winning song and video “What A Beautiful Morning” was part of the 30 Days, 30 Songs project alongside artists such as Death Cab for Cutie, R.E.M. and more. In October 2018, Drunken Logic will release their third album, The Loudness Wars.
