Chloe Martin

Founder and Director of Twenty8Productions, a Nottingham based company. Our aim is to create current, and thought-provoking theatre and to challenge our audiences into looking at issues raised in our theatre, from a different point of view.

Our self-devised ‘Then There Were None’, which recently toured at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, followed the path of Director Andy. The play sees Andy conducting an Actors Workshop, however his suspicious behaviour and unorthodox methods quickly leave the audience questioning whether all is what it seems. The play received outstanding reviews and attracted a full house 4 out of 7 nights.

Our latest piece ‘L’ follows the path of three couples through the good, bad and the ugly. The engaging humour and tender moments presented in each relationship soon prove to be misleading, as each characters true intention is revealed. Using true to life case studies, the audience embarks on three interwoven journeys and explores three decaying relationships. ‘L’ draws attention to 3 types of domestic abuse, with the aim of raising more awareness and therefore enabling people to identify it quickly.

In addition to my work with Twenty8productions I am a Freelance actor, and an Arts coordinator at a home for young adults with learning disabilities.
