Maureen Eich VanWalleghan

Maureen Eich VanWalleghan is a filmmaker and screenwriter. An M.F.A. graduate of the Creative Writing program at Brooklyn College, Maureen received Dan Gordon’s screenwriting award for her first short film, A Blue Uncertain Buzz at the 10th Anniversary ZGI Shorts Film Festival in Sedona, Arizona. Other recent awards also include being honored as the “Best Arizona Short Film” at the Prescott Film Festival in November 2011. “Buzz,” which is inspired by Emily Dickinson’s poem, “I heard a Fly buzz” explores a woman’s last hours as she makes amends with her family.
