Cal Barnes
Cal Barnes is a professional SAG actor, director, WGA screenwriter, film producer, novelist, and award-winning playwright. He’s been acting professionally since 2011 and writing professionally since 2012 his first stage play, Rise, won ‘Best World Premiere’ at the 2012 Hollywood Fringe Festival and was optioned for the screen. He’s written 17 feature screenplays and had multiple short and feature film scripts produced into films. He also has one published novel and act in select film projects when they come his way. He recently directed and starred in his next independent feature titled ‘The Astrid Experience’ in collaboration with his production company, Nineteen Films, and his partner company, Noblehooks Productions. He finished principle production in 2019 and partnered with WeFunder to hold a post-production equity funding round, in which they were successfully funded on November 1st, 2020 to complete the picture. Cal has a growing feature film acting slate for 2021, and several films coming out he is looking forward to.
