Robin Mountjoy

Songs of hard living and late nights led to local success in the Kansas City music scene and the beginning of a career in the arts. He performed throughout the country and in 2004 arrived in NYC where he expanded his creative endeavors to include the art of the playwright. He won the prestigious LaGuardia Performing Arts Center Playwright Grant Award in 2007. From there, he continued to perform music as well as produce, write and direct 26 sold out performances of Off-Broadway plays. This led to movies and a lead role in the film “Quick to Duck” the very story he had won the playwright award for. He directed Steve Guttenberg of Police Academy fame and never looked back. Today Robin is the happy father of three young boys and married to Columbia University grad, Ruth Kennedy-Mountjoy. They live in Los Angeles and enjoy their orange tree in the backyard and like everyone, a night out on the town when they can find the time. He recently wrote and directed a film due out in mid-2017 titled “Guitars and Guns.”
