Conor Hanney

Conor is a writer-lyricist-composer for actors with cognitive disabilities.

He was a writer-lyricist-composer on Netflix’s PRINCE OF PEORIA, Creative Executive at DreamWorks Animation, writer on Disney XD’s GAMER’S GUIDE, and is currently a writer-lyricist-composer on Netflix’s new THE HEALING POWERS OF DUDE, whose lead characters have social anxiety disorder and spina bifida.

His live theatre productions have won 13 awards and 11 nominations in the last 3 Hollywood Fringe Festivals. Writing credits include: DIVORCE: THE HIP-HOP MUSICAL (2017), STRANGER THINGS: THE MUSICAL TRIBUTE (2017), BEST BUDDIES: THE HIP-HOP MUSICAL (2018), STRANGER THINGS: THE MUSICAL TRIBUTE 2 (2019), and RIDE OR DIE: THE HIP-HOP MUSICAL (2019). He performs in THE ONE-MAN IMPROVISED MUSICAL.

Born in New York, raised in Jacksonville, Florida, and schooled at Notre Dame in Indiana, Conor has worked with the mentally handicapped community for over a decade, coaching a special needs Buddy Baseball team in Beverly Hills, teaching improv to the Born to Act Players, a theater company for adult actors with disabilities in North Hollywood, and directing a team of improvisers with Down syndrome at Second City Hollywood.
