This is a fast-paced, multi-dimensional character study that brilliantly examines the ever-changing relationship between fantasy and reality, sanity and "insanity," and the similar needs we have at all ages for human connection--and how we screw that up. My friend and I were talking it about it long after the show ended, and I can still think of parts we didn't touch on. This one-act play establishes an easy, relaxing tone for the audience that transports you to another place and time. The actors have developed a dynamic relationship that feels natural and well-earned. And Three Clubs has the perfect ambience for this mobster drama, with its plush red velvet and in-theater bar. ... full review
