Verity Branco and Xochitl Romero met at The University of Texas at Austin. Both starred in and wrote their own one- woman shows, with World Premieres at THE COHEN NEW WORKS FESTIVAL. In 2009, they launched their hilariously unapoplegetic YouTube channel, THE FOODIE GIRLS. Getting picked up by THE COOKING CHANNEL and listed in GLAMOUR MAGAZINE as “Top 10 Funny Ladies to Follow.” Their short films have been official selections for THE LOS ANGELES CINEMA FILM FESTIVAL and THE SANTA BARBARA FILM FESTIVAL. Verity and Xochitl have both premiered films at THE AUSTIN FILM FESTIVAL, SXSW, THE NEWPORT BEACH FILM FESTIVAL, THE DALLAS FILM FESTIVAL AND THE NORTH EAST FILM FESTIVAL. Both have been recognized and awarded for their work by the Austin Critics Table and B. Iden Payne Awards.
