THANKSGIVING

This was a glimpse into the dysfunctional household of many. Tiffany Cascio weaves this tale of secrets, lies and omissions of truth masterfully. The cast clearly shows you who they are: Allison Youngberg as the perfect daughter with a plan for how things will go for dinner, steps into the role with grace. Susan O'connor as the "other" sister is quirky but understated in letting her naughty side show. Trip Langley as the brother lets his indignation carry him. Asia Lynn Pitts is beautiful... full review

This bundle of energy called Rasika has a mind that moves with lightning speed and she takes us all along for the ride. It's laugh, laugh, laugh then think and be touched, laugh, laugh, think, laugh laugh, laugh and so on. It's a solo show but if you're in the audience be prepared to possibly be a part of it. It' fresh, fun, full of life and laughter and you will be caught by surprise when you relate.... full review

The Magic School Bus: A Traumedy

An absolutely creative, fun, energetic and charming show! It reminded me that I used to watch Miss Frizzle and the Magic Bus and and was just as entertaining, fun and educational. Yes, as an adult. I loved it. Bonnie engages the audience with witty dialogue and a compelling story of having survived sexual violence that’s enjoyable, potent, raw and honest. Her story and the continuing healing process that she allows herself shows her strength, openness and heart. Recognizing the effect tr... full review

Robert De Niro Is Older Than Me

Sy is a talented and seasoned show business writer and he reminds us during this show. He has a lot to say and has cleverly and comically woven into chapters, his life, work and family stories. I was kept in stitches with his experiences, references and tales of getting older, becoming a senior and various other life situations. Deborah Geffner (also the director) and Robert Romanus sing and play additional characters, enhancing the show. Brought to the stage simply, it was thoroughly enterta... full review

Just Old Woman from Old Country....

This delightful show starts pleasing the audience upon arrival with a small shot of vodka. We follow Baba, Just Old Woman, From Old Country, as she spends time with family and friends. She is the aunt we tell are friends is eccentric. Hilariously funny from beginning to end with double entendres, Baba colorfully tells about her relatives and her idiosyncrasies with pictures and offers samples of Ukrainian food including sausage. The journey is joyfully entertaining, a charmingly wonderful exper... full review

Diana is exceptionally talented and skilled at storytelling. She dazzled me with the distinctive and hilarious characters and emotions that run around in her head by the way she presented them. Diana’s ability to let us see her fear, to reveal a difficult and vulnerable experience in her life with creativity, humor and potency shows her writing and character portrayal as ingenious. I watched this story with joy and anticipation, excited to see what came next. I totally enjoyed the journey I... full review

Terror on The High Seas

This play was hilarious from start to finish as it dealt with the dynamics of family relations. It is really about the strength of character of one person and how he, through his creative forbearance, enables a change in an otherwise very conservative situation. Very energetically portrayed as Les takes us through his uncomfortable situations, one after another, until finally the climax "Psycho" theme music, shows his self control as he calms and reclaimed himself. Very effective! We walk with... full review

If you have ever gone through anything with your parents as an adult, you will relate to this story. Todd tells the story of helping his parents cope with Alzheimer’s with humor and compassion. You move right Todd as the story unfolds, excited to find out what happens next. The characters easily kept my interest. Todd’s ability to consistently nail each one makes watching him fun. The play did well on the subject of raising awareness for Alzheimer's and also denial and procrastination of loved... full review

Transmission - A One Tran Show

Transmission is a powerful story of what happens when you lose your ability to be who you are and then find it again. Jade tells this story with humor, fun (including the moment of reminding an audience member to turn off their cell without breaking character), truth and sincerity. We've all felt self-doubt at some point in our lives and have had to overcome it. This is a story to remind us all to let go of anyone's judgment about us and be who we really are.... full review
