Matthew truly knows how to use the stage to his advantage. His use of the space and lighting really was gorgeous. The actors, in particular Asia are truly engaging and the spirited performances ring out. The story, though period, really speaks to even todays current appropriation or take over of minority culture/entrepreneurship. Some of the dialogue was quite striking which I adored....
