David and Leeman: How to Convincingly Fake Honesty

jacquetta szathmari · June 25, 2013 certified reviewer
Big. Sexy. Magic. D&L pull out all the stops in this Vegas-style magic show. They use every inch of the stage to pull off, with aplomb, numerous illusions with a unique twist. Great patter and show stopping final act that even a magic nerd like myself could not (and didn't want to) figure out. I'd see it again. ... full review

Butt Kapinski

Truly no seat is safe--and why should it be? I thoroughly enjoyed this interactive theatre experience in which the audience created, played supporting roles, and finally starred in a film noir created on the spot. Butt is an amazing performer who combines improv and clown to create a unique, visually striking and-if you pay attention-culturally subversive, theatrical experience. I was sad when it was over. ... full review

Fancy! A Southern Gothic Camp Parable

Satisfying character work (not just schtick, although the schtick was tight y'all) and she can SANG. My only complaint- I wanted more. I can't wait to see how this piece develops because this is just ... full review

Fringe Cabaret 2013

jacquetta szathmari · June 20, 2013 uncertified reviewer
I see about 30-40 fringe shows a year and aside from going by the fringe trailer park and the guide I make my choices based on the acts I see at the cabaret. It's damn good (and free) entertainment and the hosts are HAWT. It's definitely a great place to get a taste of the Fringe and see something you probably won't see anywhere else. ... full review

A master storyteller so crafty that he made me give a fig about a subject that I assumed I would not care about. The staging was beautiful and I could have watched another 30 minutes of it. Go see it.... full review

I'd gladly see it again. I loved every character on stage- talk about "bringing your A game". I was humming the music on the way out. If only more musicals had this much heart. If only... Die, Vampires, Die!... full review
