An innovator and ground breaking leader in the theatre community, Chil Kong has directed over 20 critically acclaimed productions garnering rave reviews from the Seattle Times, Seattle Weekly, Los Angeles Times, and the Boston Herald among others. He has brought to the stage iconic works like West Side Story, Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, Suddenly Last Summer, new works like the deconstructionist version of The Mikado by Gilbert and Sullivan entitled The Mikado Project, and the current Lodestone production of Closer Than Ever (sample list).

Chil Kong has directed four independent pilots including Screening Party (written by Dennis Hensley), The Oh-Malleys, Just The Three Of Us, and The Charles Kim Show. His feature film’s include The Mikado Project (currently screening at film festivals) and QWERTY (currently in post-production). He is a graduate of the Coro Southern Leadership Program in San Diego, a member of the Lincoln Center Directors Lab West, and graduate of Virginia Tech and The Boston Conservatory. He recently served as the Co-Artistic Director of the Lodestone Theatre Ensemble in Los Angeles.
