Mike Ross

Mike Ross was a director and senior instructor for The Second City Training Center in Los Angeles for eight years, where he taught every level of the Conservatory, Improv and Writing Programs. In addition to directing dozens of Conservatory graduate shows (Level 5’s), he directed sketch shows, longform ensembles and solo comedic performers. He taught and directed several film labs in which students created short films and gained experience improvising for the camera. In his hometown of Chicago, he acted and directed in dozens of improv and sketch comedy shows, at locations including The Second City, ImprovOlympic and Annoyance Theaters. Michael holds a degree in performance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has written several screenplays and short films, and co-created the “Hawke and Dove Political Punditry Podcast”. Mike lives in Los Angeles with his wife Amy.
