This show is both universal and completely personal. It took me on a journey through Aurora and Polaris's life that was both new and unknown while at the same time feeling familiar and relevant in my own life. The audience is in capable hands with Jen Kenyon, an artist with true vision, a compassionate heart, and superb skill as a performer and writer. ... full review

Metafam is a wonderful meditation on what it means to be part of a family, how to inhabit your own life in the midst of loved ones' suffering, and how to also bring empathy and humor to the impossible task of caring for others. I can't stop thinking about this show! I loved seeing Anne Starbuck embody her 21 year old self--a young student yearning for adventure. It's a fascinating story told with precision and wit, feeling and keen observation. I felt like I was there with her watching these incredible events unfold. The stage design and lighting added so much to the feeling tone of the show. There's always a sense of danger lurking, even in the most charming, every-day moments, which keeps you on the edge of your seat.... full review

Katelyn is captivating from the moment she walks onstage. She's so free, responsive, almost luminescent. This is a fascinating journey about a young woman searching for answers. It left me considering my own happiness in a different way. I loved the sound design and a fantastic wig! Remarkable show, go see it. ... full review

Erin Carere has such an ease with the audience, she makes you feel at home. I loved her use of props--passed out to the audience and then re-called with each anecdote, her Minnesota accent was charming and well-timed, and her singing, well, I felt like I was watching an angel (the giant feathered wings helped), a very funny angel who told fart jokes. A very unique and engaging night of theater!... full review

BEYOND - Unemployed. Finally.

I can see why Heather was hired so many times--she's charismatic, capable, and extremely likable as an employee and a performer. She shifts easily in and out of countless characters in a clear and precise narrative that moves quickly. I sat in delighted anticipation for the next job (highlighted expertly by the use of slides and a dinging sound)and the hilarious situations that would arise with each new opportunity. The ending was surprising and moving--it took me off guard at just how deeply inv... full review

I didn't know what to expect walking into Sincerely and was completely enthralled with this captivating story. This show is deeply intimate and yet mysterious and temptingly elusive in the best way--leaving me wanting more but afraid to ask for it lest the magic spell of this intoxicating tale be broken. Leslie embodies the characters in Sincerely with such compassion--fully immersing herself in their experience, desires, and point of view. I loved her take on technology and the shout out to goo... full review

Just to be in the spirit of this remarkable show, I will quote the Bard in my review--"We few, we happy few..." who got to be in the audience for the 2pm performance yesterday were taken on a journey with the inspired Michael Shaw Fisher as he channeled William Shakespeare at the 3 of Clubs--the absolute perfect setting for this story!I was entranced, delighted, and awed by Fisher's generosity of spirit, his perfect balance of drama and humor, the seamless use of live music (wonderfully accompanie... full review

Why Water Falls

I was excited to see Leigh's show because I've enjoyed talking to her at many of the Fringe events. She's poised and friendly and thoughtful. I was so moved by her very personal story. I felt like I was being let in on a secret. This is a story that needs to be told. There is a stigma for women of a certain age who don't have children or who have a certain ambivalence about having children and Leigh is opening up a dialogue about the complex emotions surrounding this issue. She approaches it wit... full review

This was a very spirited production with great energy. The scenes between Kate (Jennifer Albert) and Petruchio (Dawn Alden) had a subtle melancholy that was captivating. The cast worked wonderfully off of one another!... full review
