Michael Ortega was born and raised in Riverside, California. In his young adulthood, Michael found himself struggling with addiction which ultimately led him to prison. Through his challenges, he made significant changes to become the best version of himself and transform his life. He has been of service to others in the SUD/Mental health field, for over 10 years. He has also dedicated his time at Riverside Community College, by networking and advocating with organizations such as Transitioning Minds and Underground Scholars for those formerly incarcerated and system-impacted students. Michael is pursuing his dream of becoming an aspiring actor. He is determined to share his life experiences with others and make a meaningful impact in the industry. Currently, he is a student of the No Fronts Actors Workshop where he is learning to perfect his craft. Although new to the industry, he has gained experience by working as a background actor in a music video. Michael will be making his debut in his first play as Saint Matthew/Soldier in “The Last Days of Judas Iscariot.” He dedicates his life transformation to his spirituality, parents, children, and family who have been his support system through his recovery.
