BEFORE A FALL

I LOVED this show! It was intriguing and compelling and shocking and emotional. I cannot say enough great things about it - nicely staged, superbly acted, wonderfully written. I was captivated by the actors, uncomfortable by the situations presented, hopeful for justice, fearful no justice would be served, and most of all, impressed by all I witnessed. Congrats to Lily and the cast. My hats off to you. I sincerely hope that this piece will have an extended run so that I may bring more peopl... full review

A Man of No Importance

"A Man of No Importance" has it all - a tight & witty script, good music, talented cast, great costumes, a minimal but well-used set and brilliant direction. The accents were superb & the message - "Love Who You Love", really resonated with me. I LOVE this show!... full review

The Real Housekeepers of Studio City

Filled with catchy tunes & familiar tv characters as well as cariacatures, this musical is sure to put a smile on your face (especially when Consuela is on stage). With a little work, this cleverly written, though often cliche, script has a lot of potential to blossom into Broadway's next big show. ... full review

David and Leeman: How to Convincingly Fake Honesty

The title of their show caught my attention - "How to Convincingly Fake Honesty" - clever & catchy. I knew I was in for a treat. David. & Leeman did not disappoint. I laughed, I gasped & I was impressed. Definitely a unique date night.... full review

BOBBYWOOD: WHATEVER HAPPENED TO BOBBY THE BELLBOY?

I very much enjoyed this real-life story of Bill finally getting meet his radio/TV actor uncle Bobby. From his wide-eyed little boy amazement when he learned that he had an uncle on television through his excited & nervous first introduction to his final goodbye, Bill held my attention. I loved the way he used the microphone to recreate the "old time" feel of radio & early tv days. The keyboard also helped set the tone for each scene. Every character was well distinguished through the talente... full review

I knew nothing about this piece when I came to support my friend who directed it. I'm still not exactly certain if these 3 women are meant to portray 3 individual women or 1 in the same woman. What I do know is that the 3 ladies I watched on stage were captivating. Their movements were graceful, edgy and telling and their few words struck a chord with me. ... full review

Fancy! A Southern Gothic Camp Parable

Bold, brazen, beautiful and funny to boot! Chris Farrah turns in a hilariously clever performance in this one-woman show depicting the life & trials of "Fancy" - a poor girl turned prostitute - based on the song "Fancy" as made famous by Reba McEntire. Using very little in the way of set/props, Farrah captivates the audience with her powerful voice, funny facial expressions and witty dialogue. The cast of characters she portrays ranges from dying woman to naive teenager to brothel madam an... full review

Cleaner Than Blood

One mark of a good show is that you leave the theater discussing what you have just witnessed. This show had my husband and I talking long after the show was over. Without giving anything away, this is what I can tell you about "Cleaner Than Blood"... I found myself anxious in moments and intrigued throughout. Alex Scott makes great use of the space, creating the illusion of a much larger mansion. His choice of music and dramatic lighting helps set the tone for this well-directed dark play. ... full review

As someone who has spent the past 8 years working in conjunction with local playwrights in an effort to help strengthen their scripts in progress, I feel it important to patron other groups introducing original works to our community. While there were a few scenes that I felt unnecessary to the forward progress of the play, I enjoyed this unique show that kept me intrigued until the end. I self-identified with the visitor, Richard, who was both intimidated by and curious of this place he ha... full review

I am a HUGE lover of musicals and this one does not disappoint. Contrary to most musicals that boast remarkable sets and lavish costumes, this show scales everything down to the bare minimum allowing the talented cast to shine - and shine they do! All 4 actors + keyboard player were perfectly cast and a pleasure to watch. Well done cast, crew & all involved with this show. I've been recommending it to everyone I run into!... full review
