BILL NEAL ELK WHISTLE (Tsalagi) is a Native American flutist, recording artist, storyteller, director of the Elk Whistle Ensemble, powwow coordinator, teacher and social activist. He plays the plains-style cedar flutes of the Lakota, Kiowa, and Comanche Nations and the river cane flutes of the Choctaw and Cherokee. He is a proud member of The Peoplehood. Recent Peoplehood journeys include a staged reading before a capacity audience of Art Shulman’s Not One More Foot of Land.
