She is a graduate of the New Studio on Broadway’s Acting and Musical Theatre program at NYU Tisch and holds a Master’s in Dramatic Writing from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Her plays were selected from competitive pools for the Freeplay Festival, New York New Works Festival, and New York Theater festival. Her work advanced to the Semi-finals of the New York Theater festival and has been listed as Intermission Magazine’s Three to see in 2018 and 2020. Most recently, her pilot (Living with Olivia Cadence Donovan, featuring the personification of neurodivergence) advanced to the finals of the Austin Film Festival, Stage 32 Comedy Writing Contest, Outstanding Screenplays TV Pilot Competition, and the Los Angeles Screenplay Awards. Since relocating to Los Angeles this past June, Allison has been studying improvisational comedy (musical and otherwise) at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade and can be found performing with her team: Hot Cakes! allisonsheareed.com
