A SoCal self-starter, Joy studied acting at the USC School of Theatre and London’s BADA, and achieved internet notoriety with her solo-performance-turned-viral-video: A Fat Rant. A hilarious and apparently shocking take on body image and character study, Joy was profiled in the LA Times, NY Times, Bitch, BUST & O Magazines, as well as on CNN, the BBC, & Canal Plus. Recent productions include HOW RAVEN STOLE FIRE AND OTHER STORIES (Geffen Playhouse/UCLA), REUNION (Disney/REDCAT Studio), THE WONDERFUL ICE CREAM SUIT (Ray Bradbury’s Pandemonium Theatre Company), OTHELLO and MERRY WIVES (Shakespeare by the Sea), and FAT PIG (Rep East Playhouse).
