Catherine Pelonero

Catherine Pelonero is an author and playwright whose work has been produced across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. Her first short play, Family Names, won the Off-Off Broadway Short Play Festival and is published by Samuel French, Inc. Ms. Pelonero’s other plays include Pioneers in Paradise (Theatre West), A Skilled Hunter (Bloomington Playwrights Project), and Puppies with Papers, a finalist for the Heideman Award at Actors Theatre of Louisville. Her one-act comedy, Awesome Ghosts of Ontario, was published in 2010 by Samuel French/Baker’s Plays. Her short screenplay Preservation Society won the Yale University Screenwriting Competition and was filmed and screened on the Yale campus in the summer of 2010. Ms. Pelonero is a member of the Dramatists Guild, the Actors Studio Playwrights & Directors Unit, and currently serves as a Vice Chair of the Alliance of Los Angeles Playwrights (ALAP). Originally from Buffalo, New York, she currently lives in Los Angeles.
