For the most part, there was real moment-to-moment shit going on. Good going, actors and director! I appreciated that the addition of the two "older" actors turned and Sam into a memory play. I felt a strong and specific atmosphere of regret. Sometimes the two added actors were distracting from the main action. I wasn't always sure where the director wanted my attention to be. It's a lovely, sweet script with strong acting, and will make you think about your friendships.... full review

Lemon Boots is a show that challenges its audience. The ensemble challenges the audience to participate, to question their dependence on technology, and to create their own story and their own meaning. If you are a person who depends upon structure and formula, you might have trouble with this piece. Enter the theatre with an open mind and a willingness to participate, and you'll have a great time! I really enjoyed some of the images in this piece. It's unfortunate that this production has had such trouble with the space and with the lights, because I don't think that these images are getting the credit that they deserve. The director does some cool things with the blending of the modern and biblical worlds, and draws interesting parallels both visually and textually. Some truly honest and personal moments from the cast. I thought they did a great job of cutting the show from it's original 1:40 run time without sacrificing the message. I will say that I thought some of the through-line was lost. Gorgeous ending scene. ... full review
