Allyn has a hero complex – he thinks it’s his responsibility to save the world. Mattie is a PhD candidate in research psychology, studying the hero complex as a narcissistic disorder. When Allyn goes out her office window onto the ledge five stories up, Mattie knows she has to go out with him in order to bring him inside and save him from jumping. Through their unorthodox session, they both discover what it really means to be a hero and how to save others – and themselves.
