Black Swan Youth Theatre brings 19th century Britain to 21st century Hollywood with Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest, a "trivial comedy for serious people." It’s a story of comical misunderstandings, strange coincidences, and ample mischief. The Importance of Being Earnest combines humor and satire with immaculate prose. Black Swan Youth Theatre is a youth theatre in Portland, Oregon that emphasizes classical training. Since 2008, BSYT has produced The Tempest, Peter Pan, Beauty and the Beast, The Servant of Two Masters, Twelfth Night, and A Christmas Carol. Black Swan debuted The Importance of Being Earnest in March of this year and is eager to perform at the Hollywood Fringe Festival.
