Tommy Cooper: I Didn't Let You Down, Did I?

What I liked

I liked the back and forth between the private man Tommy Cooper and the public act which was seen on tv. This juxtoposition enabled me to understand the person more and created more empathy as well as interest. I felt transported back to an earlier time of television and really enjoyed that.

My overall impression

Niek Versteeg is mesmerizing to watch as Tommy Cooper. He was able to transport me to a different time, in a different land, and had me laughing and crying. Niek was able to create a story as well as an image of this man whom I never have heard of yet, now feels I know more about. Fantastic!
