What I liked

This was a unique piece, unlike anything I’ve seen before, and that’s highly due to the inventiveness of Kristen Boulé and Tiffany Asta, and the always forward-thinking 2Cents Theatre Company. I knew from the minute I got there, and the emails I got from members of the story before I even came to the show, that I was in for a ride. Plus the way they involved us all as a character in the show (ya gotta come and experience it) was terrific. I loved every literary minute of it.

What I didn't like

I really don’t see how. It was incredibly unique, its very own thing.

My overall impression

Go ahead and give the HFF Immersive Theatre Award one more time to Kristen Boulé, Tiffany Asta, and 2Cents Theatre Company for yet again creating a brilliant theatre event. This is a smart piece that assumes you are knowledgeable and worldly and know about such things …. While it’s a plus to know Fitzgerald’s “Gatsby”, this erudite production works on levels for everyone interested in interactive and challenging events. The food was great (thank you for the vegan choices), and special props to Colin Willkie (Tom), Sarah Schulte (Daisy), and especially Ren Montoro (Jordan), who suffered my attention and queries in perfect character, leaving me outmatched at every turn. As a bass player, I also appreciated Leslie Baker’s fitting musical voice, turning her upright bass into another character for the evening. And on top of all this erudite revelry, it was fun! Do not miss this adventure.
