A good looking university student seduces a middle age transgender woman in order to gain access to her living quarters. She goes along with his lies about a so called study group wanting to believe the romance he suggests. Before knowing it she is already involved in a plot to assassinate Augusto Pinochet and her flat the center of its operations. Adapted from the novel by Pedro Lemebel, the theater piece explores the dangerous lines of gender and political subversion, campy humor and survival in repressive times.

Pedro Segundo Mardones Lemebel (1952 – 2015) was an openly gay Chilean essayist, chronicler, and novelist. He was known for his cutting critique of authoritarianism and for his humorous depiction of Chilean popular culture, from a queer perspective. He was nominated for Chile’s National Literature Prize in 2014. He died of cancer of the larynx on January 2015 in Santiago, Chile.
