What I liked

The stripped down production design really brings the focus to the great performances and thought provoking psychological thrills. The opening of the play definitely had me leaning in, but once Jola’s enigmatic character made an entrance, I found myself truly enthralled by the provocative story on display. The writing was exquisite – I am beyond impressed at the amount of story and meaning that was packed in to such a tight performance.

What I didn't like

I’d love to see either more performances or it adapted into a film. There’s so much depth that it really require repeat viewings!

My overall impression

Siren Call blew me away – it morphs before your eyes from comedy, to drama, to mystery – to something deep, subversive, and unbelievably intriguing. Louis Harrell and Annalee Scott are a thrill to watch as a couple at odds with not only one another, but with themselves, and Jola Cora shines in the most engaging and hypnotic performance I’ve seen in a very long time.
