What I liked

Kate is a storyteller, a songstress, a performance artist and a poet. The amazing thing is I think she really had no idea how brilliant she is, she simply is THIS. I spoke with her afterwards and she is what the best of artists are—a person bringing art—her art—to the world with no artifice.

She captures some real truths about what women lose everyday simply by living and yet, the secret that we all must come to eventually, that we are all right alone. That we are complete. She speaks eloquently about the archetypical use of male force on the everywoman and the soul destroying effects of that force.

What I didn't like

I really can’t think of anything but I want to follow this artist and I would love to hear her record. She is someone to watch. Brava.

My overall impression

Kate Radford is a revelation. Her one-woman show is emotional, gorgeous, specific, lyrical and intense. She blends intelligent prose and rhyme with a fabulous and deeply melodious use of voice. It was hypnotic and really almost mystical. I highly recommend this show.
