What I liked

Most striking about the show was Dewsberry’s ability to shift between roles almost instantly, allowing for quick rejoinders between characters with distinct body languages, voices and personalities. Period tunes added atmosphere and charm, and an underlying message offered a constructive suggestion as to how mothers can be sincerely celebrated without excess commercialism. The performance was unapologetically part fundraiser, but the panhandling moments were handled in-character and with endearing humor.

What I didn't like

Too few performances!

My overall impression

A tongue-in-cheek historical vignette, propelled by humor and a deft intermixing of roles by a talented solo performer.
