The blend of comedy, vulnerability & timing made the narrative flow. The use of music and visuals on the screen helped keep the tone, set the scenes and remind me where we were int he world. The stage presence was amazing… and the descriptions of the people along the way made me want to be in the story.
What I didn't like
Maybe on more layer of reflection… what were you running from… what were you running too… maybe there is space to bring us into the present at the very end, much like the opening when you hate the corporate job… us, the audience love to know how you grew/changed.
My overall impression
Not Here Right Now was utterly brilliant. It was honest, entertaining, funny and extremely unique. There were no dull moments, the story flowed… I felt like I was on the journey with the artist/adventurer. Though this was a one man show, it felt like I was at a full fledge Broadway play but backdropped at legendary stand-up spot.
