Vivi Thai brings a depth and pathos to Agnes the ass-hatted that’s moving and fun to watch, Susannah Snowden-Ifft finds subtle and sweet moments to connect to her sister from the ether, and Harry Owen’s great comedic timing all make this a must-see for D&D lovers.
What I didn't like
There were a few beats when the ensemble could have picked up their cues to help the comedy and keep the stakes high.
My overall impression
Full of great costumes, fun fights, and the appropriate levels of silly and campiness for nerdom. And underneath those, a message of love and inclusivity.
