Stories within stories can be beasts to mount, and the director and actors handled it beautifully. The switches were very clear, and the story was well-told. The story itself was imaginative and fun to watch. The dynamic between Louisa and her publisher was fantastic comic relief that was still grounded in very-real circumstances. See for yourself!
What I didn't like
There were times when the story could have been tightened, but it didn’t detract from the overall experience.
My overall impression
As someone who read “Little Women” as a child, I really liked watching this play for the ways the story “explained” the parts of the book’s plot that bothered me when I was a kid. It was a very enjoyable experience!
