What I liked

Her VOICE! My oh my can this girl sing and she surprises you song after song. Whether it be singing in an accent, rapping or just the use of her range… she is a powerhouse and can’t be beat. The songs were also smart, witty, and moving. The use of Shakespeare and the way she plays with his language and incorporates original writing too… Ahh! So good! She’s a talented writer, singer, pianist, and overall performer. Congrats!

What I didn't like

I wish she used the stage more… I know that she is playing all her songs live on the piano which is on the second level of the platform. It definitely worked in the venue but I thought it would have be cool to see more movement throughout the entire piece. Also had to keep reading off my program to figure out which female character she was referring to… I love Shakespeare but I still had to double check and make sure I was following the right narrative. I felt like the show was more of a concert or a performance then an actual play. It might be interesting to see the connections between the female characters or provide an overall story to bring context to the songs being played.

My overall impression

OMG!!!! Freaking Incredible! The music was well written, had great lyrics, and transitions were seamless.
