And what a surprise to discover, after sharing with us that he feared being dead was better than being gay, he learned how to accept and be himself through studying flamenco dance where he could express both his masculine and feminine sides beautifully. His pure joy when dancing shines brightly.
What I didn't like
Not sure how this show could have been better, other than adding in more dancing!
My overall impression
Coming out stories of an autobiographical nature are always heartfelt, but Adrian Eli goes beyond that and shares his emotions from the depths of his soul. The fact that he has survived so much loss of loved ones and managed to stay true to himself fuels the energy of this show, not to mention how he emerges from his mother at the beginning of the show! From being the baby boy in his family, he definitely learned how to be adorable and lovable and uses those traits to engage the audience into every moment and story he shares.
