What I liked

I liked the puzzles at each location and the intimate settings/interaction! They used a lot of different media to immerse and enhance the experience. I think with any immersive experience, the more you’re willing to put into it, the more you’ll get out of it! The actors portraying Shanks, Sweeney, The Queen, and the Chessmen were all fantastic, as well as the woman who guided us to Unreal City from Three Clubs!

What I didn't like

There was one point where they were regrouping us after splitting us up, but for a while we were just watching people walk back and forth in a line while we waited for the other groups to get back to us. That was the only logistic hiccup, though I also had a bit of trouble following some of the storyline. This may have just been due to the path that I went on, and I believe I saw the first preview as well.

My overall impression

This production was logistically ambitious and the risk paid off! It’s one of those things where everyone involved has a different experience, warranting repeat visits and promoting lots of “water cooler style” discussion after the show. You are encouraged to take a more active role in the show, though if you prefer to sit back and let others lead you can do that, too. It made me think about how much of society is dependent on our adherence to customs and playing our various roles. Fantastic work from everyone involved!
