What I liked
It’s really hard to choose a favorite moment but (SPOILER) a pretty, blonde, very made-up, woman dressed in a hot dog costume thrusting herself through a giant vagina while repeating: “This is provocative! This is provocative! This is provocative!” I mean, that just really is provocative in the best way possible. And to earn that moment like Amy does and land it artfully? That’s rare!
What I didn't like
More. I just want this show to be happening all the time in the world and I want to be there to see it.
My overall impression
This is the best show I have ever seen at Fringe, ever. Creator, writer, star Amy Bury offers up a character we all love to hate but with a charm, wit, and self-awareness that is as compassionate as possible for a totally spoiled brat of a character. Amy makes it hard not to relate to Naomi in some way, while also seeing how totally absurd she is, stretching the scenes to a hilarious height. I’m pretty sure there were a total of 5 out of 45 minutes where I wasn’t laughing hysterically and that was really just to take a breath or because Amy was setting us up to knock us down in the knees again, laughing at Naomi and our own ridiculous selves. This show is truth. Naked truth (SPOILER).
