HOLLYWOOD, CA – A Reasonable Fear of Tubas, a funny and often poignant one-person show written and performed by Stacy Patterson, makes its Hollywood Fringe Festival Premiere on Thursday, March 31 and runs for five additional shows through Sunday, June 24 at The Actors Company, Let Live Theater. Under the direction of Christian Davis, the one-hour solo performance explores fears, fish and human alike.

In the summer of 1975, the first-ever blockbuster movie hit theaters, leaving everyone, especially the narrator of this piece with all-too-vivid memories of a non-working mechanical fish. Before this, there was a childhood of imagination. And, if there’s to be life afterward, this human must face what scares her most, including people who may be more shark-like than anything found in the water.
