What I liked

I especially liked the way visual aids such as long flowing scarves were used to reflect the twister in which Dorothy escaped from Kansas – a place she was more than happy to leave, by the way. All the aerial artists created their own costumes to sit their character as well as allow for the necessary movements.

What I didn't like

The performance was way too short and I hope Aeriform Arts presents a longer aerial story in next year’s Fringe. I could watch these artists for hours!

My overall impression

I have been an admirer of people who can perform aerial acrobatics for awhile, appreciating the incredible athletic ability needed to make such beautiful movements appear to be effortless, which they certainly are not. Starring Tamysen Malles & Monica Miklas as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz and Alice from Alice in Wonderland who share stories from their lives as they fly through the air together, Nicole Beckerman, Rox Kousaka, Sheri Lee, Diana Nguyen, Jane Osborn, and Chelsea Rousselot portray characters from each of the stories including Toto, The Wicked With of the East, Glenda the Good Witch (on stilts!), the Mad Hatter, Queen of Hearts, and White Rabbit.
