What I liked
I loved the transitions and specifically a transition where Maria transforms into Bethany’s Mom while repeating the same line as Maria and then eventually as Bethany’s Mom. There was a great nostalgic factor in utilizing familiar songs and in sharing stories that can relate to all audiences from our youth to our adulthood.
What I didn't like
It all worked – even what could be perceived as mistakes with sound, props, etc. worked because both women are so gifted when it comes to improv and feeding off each others energy. Their uncanny ability to move forward in a scene and still manage to make it funny made any “mistake” irrelevant.
My overall impression
This show was wildly entertaining. Maria and Bethany moved through the show seamlessly adding emotional layers throughout. Their opposite energy levels provided such an engaging experience because you didn’t know what you were going to get, when, or how. They delivered everything from comedy, self reflection, anger, disappointment, and empowerment. Lady Farts Comedy are a hysterical duo and I would 100% fart here again.
