What I liked
I highly enjoyed the content and dialogue. It felt very philosophical and touched on many important themes of ambition, love, power and identity. In some ways there was a a sense of Beckett’s spirit in the story telling style.
The heightened characters, use of costume and lighting especially added to the thrill of the story. I also enjoyed the use of music which added to the atmosphere of certain scenes.
What I didn't like
The projection at the beginning and end wasn’t very necessary, though I do see it added to the mood of the performance. However starting off without the projection might be a more powerful way of drawing us in to the main protagonists.
My overall impression
Overall, I was left stirred up and provoked by this unique performance.
The delivery, staging and relationship of both characters were impactful in its simplicity.
